I have used Capture One for 3 years, but just as version 4 was released, I decided to check out the competition and make sure I was still using the best software.
I’m glad to say that after testing demos of the main editing programmes (Aperture, Lightroom, Darkroom), I still much preferred Capture One Pro. This could be because I was familier with Capture One, but I still think the interface is the cleanest and most intuitive of all. I also get the feeling that the people developing Capture One are as obsessed with photography as I am!
Capture One never ceases to reveal things that improve either my workflow or creativity. From the really neat (and creative!) lens correction tools to the simple ‘Make Web Contact Sheet’ option which makes showing results to your client, quick, easy and elegant.
Simply put, Capture One liberates and revolutionises your photography. It frees you up to get on with making creative images and not be destracted by unnecessary software gizmos that just complicate matters. It just works!
